Eden Boys Academy – Custom AHU Design and Installation

Project Overview

CLP Air Group was contacted by a client facing an urgent issue with sourcing specialist AHU equipment within a restricted timeframe. A specialist crane lift had already been scheduled, but due to an error by a third party, the intended equipment could not be delivered to the project site in time.

Meeting the Challenge

Our team acted swiftly, holding an immediate meeting with the client to discuss their specific requirements. After identifying the design specifications, we quickly developed a new design for approval. Once finalised, we allocated all necessary resources to procure the required parts at speed, ensuring we met the client’s specialist crane lift date.

Innovative Design and Installation

• Designed and supplied seven custom-built AHUs for the newly built school.
• Integrated fully prewired controls, heat recovery plates or thermal wheels, and high-efficiency direct-driven EC fans for optimal performance.
• Ensured each AHU was designed to a specific footprint, aligning with the school’s architecture while meeting ERP and other critical design standards.
• Manufactured all units in our factory, fully packaged and completed within the client’s strict timeline.
• Successfully crane-lifted all AHUs onto the roof, ensuring seamless integration for the contractor to apply final services.
• Our commissioning team attended the site upon completion to verify system functionality and optimise efficiency levels.
• Provided a full demonstration to the client’s representatives, ensuring they fully understood the system operations and future maintenance requirements.

Results

Despite the initial third-party delay, CLP Air Group successfully delivered and installed the AHUs within the required timeframe, allowing the project to proceed as planned. The new systems provide high efficiency, full compliance with design standards, and long-term operational reliability.
